The Pros:
Cute poems that encourage memorization. The Not So:
Wish there were more poems.Learning pieces for school isn’t something we do much anymore, but I’ll bet we still share Nursery Rhymes with our children. Funny Kids Poems 2 introduces us to 12 original pieces written by Marina Lindholm, that may have your children reciting verse in no time.
When I was a little girl my mother used to recite the poem Little Orphan Annie to me. She told me she had learned “the piece” for a school assignment to perform at Halloween. Learning pieces for school isn’t something we do much anymore, but I’ll bet we still share Nursery Rhymes with our children. Funny Kids Poems 2 introduces us to 12 original pieces written by Marina Lindholm.
The poems are short and snappy with a rhyme that makes them easy to remember. and may quickly have them working on rhymes of their own. Its a playful way for beginning readers to become familiar with language and how it can create emotion. This app is offered in both English and Russian for further language exposure.

I chose this cute little spider poem to highlight for two reasons. First, because my daughter is terrified of them, hehe, and secondly because I liked the interactivity. Touching the pretty posies produces a soft bell chime and a fly buzzes around the screen. Best of all is Mr. Spider! Tilting your device will swing him from side to side on his fancy web. You will find the tilt interaction of some of the other poems too.
Funny Kids Poems 2 offers a playful learning experience.
