Just in time for the frigid temperatures that many of us are experiencing right now, little readers and pre-readers will love the cute little hedgehog and all of the fun interactivity that the book has to offer. Soothing narration and music help to make this a fantastic bedtime book that kids will love to read and play over and over again.
The story is beautifully illustrated, and I was surprised to learn that the illustrations were created by cutting shapes out of watercolor-painted paper, which gives it a unique look. Each page of the book also features a game, activity or puzzle for your little ones to solve and play. Pookie runs into lots of adventures on his way home to his mother before the winter comes, and little ones will love helping him search for food, cross the river, and finally drink some hot cocoa. In addition to the playful plot, users will enjoy Pookie’s Craft Corner where they can color and create and keep the fun going.
If you’re looking for a calming, beautifully illustrated interactive storybook to add to your collection, Pookie’s Snow Day will not disappoint! I only wish the story was longer so that there would be more to enjoy!
