Let me start by saying that I thought this was a really cute app!  The new Red in Bed app features a fun interactive storybook that will teach little ones all about their colors.  One day, the color Red isn’t feeling so well…so what happens?  Red’s friends offer to help him color his parts of the world…strawberries, a stop sign, a rooster, a fire truck, tomatoes and a plum and much more.  But somehow, those things just didn’t look right in other colors…come along and read with your child to see what happens in the end.

I thought that this app was unique and original.  I really enjoyed the cute story and all the simple, yet entertaining interactions.  I think that children will enjoy being able to interact with all the colors of the rainbow – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet!  The app features beautiful colors and cute illustrations.  I like that each color has a character of their own.  The sound effects and animations will keep children engaged and wanting to turn the page to find out what happens next.  Of course, in the end you and your little one will help Red fix all the colors and right the world!  Strawberries and fire trucks will be red again, and the world will be a happy place.

I think that this app is worth the $1.99 price tag, fun and educational!  I would definitely recommend this app to parents of younger children who are learning their colors.  I know that I will be using this app with my 2-year-old son.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this app for review purposes.
