Do you have kids who like art? Or how about making art projects and drawing? If so, they might enjoy the new Sendy: Steam-Paint Kids Art app. With Sendy: Steam-Paint Kids Art, children will be able to make all sorts of different artwork. I thought that the idea behind this app was neat, however, the controls are a little difficult (may be best for older children or younger children with the help of a parent).
The idea behind Sendy: Steam-Paint Kids Art is to let children “tinker with unique writing and drawing tools, inspired by innovations of the past, present and future.” This app is set in a steam-mechanized world and features a train along the bottom of the screen as well. The menu includes lots of various options for drawing, etc. including: a paint trolley that delivers new colors, stamps, brushes with different widths, an eraser, options for adding background photos (from your photo gallery), and much more.
As children create their artwork and finish their masterpiece, they are given the option to use Juddly – a one-way email system which will send messages to loved ones via a safe, secure passage. Therefore, kids can send their artwork to their family and friends in a safe environment. I think that being able to send things over a secure server is important.
I enjoyed the Sendy app, the only downside is I thought that the controls were a little difficult – but, with the help of a parent, I think that younger children would enjoy this app. I like the idea of kids learning to love art and create things, and that is why apps like Sendy are important. If you are looking for a new artistic app for your kids, be sure to check out Sendy – it’s free!
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this app for review purposes.
