AppeTeasers provides appetizer recipes and only appetizer recipes. No need to search through a huge database of different recipes looking for the perfect food to take to a party. This app presents four categories of appetizers: cheese, meat, seafood and veggies. The recipes are presented with beautiful pictures and easy to follow directions. When you are viewing a list of recipes you will notice that the preparation time is listed along with a rating of difficulty for the recipe. I liked being able to see this information for all the recipes at once. It let me narrow down choices with a simple glance.  Once you’ve chosen a recipe you can add it to a favorites list or tap a button that says “Add to Shopping List”. If you tap this button and then view the shopping list you’ll see that all the ingredients for that recipe have been added. You’ll have the option to display the ingredients by recipe or grocery aisle.  Two minor suggestions – If I already had one of the ingredients for the recipe I’d like to have the ability to delete it from the list. Also, when you pick up an ingredient and tap it a checkmark will appear. My personal preference is to have the item disappear altogether so my list grows shorter.

I think AppeTeasers does a nice job organizing and displaying recipes. Right now there are only four recipes included per category but I have heard from the developer that more will be added in the future.

WebMD Baby

WebMD Baby was released earlier this month and it is awesome! Seriously one of the best “baby” apps I’ve seen to date

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
