Baby Connect Update

November 3, 2009

I’ve received an email from the folks behind Baby Connect letting me know about some updates they’ve made to their website, www.baby-connect.com. Those updates are:

Upload photos from the ‘Post new entry’ panel.
Set a child picture in the child settings page.
Set birthday, blood type and allergies for a child.
Send Email with all activities from the day.
Send a Quick Message from the ‘Post new entry’ panel. Delete a status entry. When mousing over an entry, a small trash icon will appear allowing you to delete the entry. Performance, usability improvements, and others bug fixes.

They’ve also submitted an update to the iPhone app that will be available for download soon. It includes the following features

Unit Preferences for temperature (F and C) and bottle size (Oz or ml).
New predefined activities for movie, TV, Music, Story, and Bath.
Usability improvements, including a new “recent entries” panel, remembering last selection, smoother animations, and a new child selector icon on the top-right corner.
Performance improvement. We think you’ll notice the difference, especially when posting a new entry.
As always, bug fixes were also included.

Wow, this is an interesting app. I’ve been searching for ‘iphone games for toddlers’ and I somehow ended up here (I think one of the games I checked quoted you…nice going!). Anyhow, as someone who is on the road for work from time to time, this will be a great way to keep tabs on what my little peanut is up to! Thanks for the post!

Individual Text Tones for Contacts

My 9 year old daughter told me about an iOS 5 feature that I was totally unaware of until last week. Miss S. showed me how to set up individual text tones for my contacts.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
