Baby Grow

July 18, 2010

IMG_0942.PNGBaby Grow allows you to track your baby’s progress on the growth charts from the age of birth until three years old. You’ll enter in your baby’s length, weight and head circumference and the app will show you their percentiles based on the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization) charts. You can view the percentiles on a growth chart or see them immediately when you input the measurements. The app also allows you to keep track of more than one baby at a time.

Baby Grow does a nice job tracking a baby’s growth but the drawback is that it only tracks until the age of three. I know that after that point there are fewer well child checkups and the measurements slow down but it would be nice to have the option to continue to track progress. Also, the ability to add notes to measurements would be a nice addition as well.

I use UBaby Growth, which is free and seems to be able to track measurements until the ‘child’ is 18.

What do you think???

Individual Text Tones for Contacts

My 9 year old daughter told me about an iOS 5 feature that I was totally unaware of until last week. Miss S. showed me how to set up individual text tones for my contacts.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
