BabyBaby Steps is an app for tracking and recording your baby’s milestones. It was developed by a mom of four and as a mom of four myself I can tell you that the more children you have the fewer milestones you manage to track. As I was trying out this app I could tell that a mom definitely had a hand in it’s creation.
You begin by entering your baby’s name and their birth information. A photo can also be added and multiple babies can be tracked. After the basic information has been entered it’s time to record some milestones. Events are sorted into different age ranges – 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months and so on. You may tap on the one you’d like to record and the date and time is automatically entered for you. There is a space for you to add a personal description and you can easily add in a photo, video or audio clip. With the photo and video you may record right then or upload something that’s been saved to your camera roll. If you want to add audio then BabyBaby Steps has a built in recorder.
In addition to the age milestones there are also “anytime” ones. These are things like first haircut, first ice cream, etc. The app comes with over 70 preset milestones and you can also easily create your own. You’ll be able to cover all your bases and events can be shared with others via Facebook, email, Twitter and SMS. If the app is on your phone you’ll be able to make note of baby’s accomplishments right when they happen. I found BabyBaby Steps to be very easy to use. I appreciated it’s simplicity and the fact that you could record an event with just a few simple taps. Life it busy enough and BabyBaby Steps can help eliminate a small portion of that busy.
