BabySeatMate

February 16, 2011

A quick blurb about an app that sounds intriguing – BabySeatMate was developed for using the iPhone to measure the angle you’ve installed your baby car seat. Once it has measured the angle it will tell you if you’ve installed the seat correctly or if you need to make some adjustments. The app works with your own car because you enter in the vehicle’s details at the start. Next you would put your iPhone in the car seat, laying it down flat against the spot where your baby’s back would rest. BabySeatMate will calculate the angle, compare it with the manufacturer’s information and then tell you if you’ve passed or failed. Sounds like a terrific safety app.

Price: $1.99

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
