Nearly a year ago I reviewed Aimee’s Babies Baby Massage, an app that provided instructions and videos for parents interested in learning massage for their infants. Aimee Ketchum is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and a Certified Instructor of Baby’s First Massage. Now Aimee’s Babies is back with BabyStretch, an exercise app for you and your child. BabyStretch exercises are best for babies up to eighteen months old. They’ve been developed to help your baby as they grow and approach developmental milestones.
BabyStretch comes with information about the benefits of stretching and strengthening for infants. It showcases video instructions that will walk you through the different exercises and each one also includes written instructions and tips. I think that the combination of the written and video instructions is extremely helpful. Some things I’ll understand just by reading, others I have to see. Then there are those days when I need both. I’m glad Aimee covered every option. Both Aimee’s Babies Baby Massage and BabyStretch have high user ratings and reviews in the App Store. Her easy to follow tips and instruction have proved to be a hit with parents.
The Aimee’s Babies apps began with her original Baby Massage DVD. In the DVD Aimee demonstrates massage techniques and offers instructions on how to perform them yourself. She explains why you would use the different massage strokes and how they can benefit your baby’s development. Aimee will also explain how the exercises and stretches can stimulate all of your baby’s senses. Clips from this DVD have been used in her Baby Massage iPhone app. Aimee was kind enough to send me a Baby Massage DVD to give away to a reader.
