Burning Tires Lite

This is the game that I find my four year old playing most often on my iPhone. Burning Tires Lite is a lite version of the full Burning Tires racing game. As far as I can tell you get two race tracks and one car in the lite version. It’s more than enough to keep my guy entertained but I just checked the iTunes store and the full version is on sale for $1.99, so we’ll probably upgrade soon. The full version has 12 tracks, 7 cars and best of all – trophies to win.

The idea behind this iPhone app is that you’re racing around an off road track. You control your car using a left and right arrow that appear on the edges of your screen. They’re in a great spot so as you’re holding the phone your thumbs sit right there. Perfect for little boy hands.  Under the settings option you can adjust the steering so it’s more or less sensitive to your controls. Again, perfect for little boys and for their mothers who stink at racing games.

I think this is a terrific app for little boys who love racing games. My favorite part? When you first start up Burning Tires Lite you get a choice – sound on or sound off. Any racing game that lets you turn the sound completely off is a winner in my book!
