Color Me!!! is a coloring book app that’s best suited to the younger kids. It lets them color in “chunks” of the picture instead of coloring like you would with a crayon, one scribble at a time. Your child would select their color and then tap on an area of the coloring page. That area will then fill in with the color. When the page is done it can be exported  to the iPhone’s Photo Library.

There are two things I found unique about Color Me!!!. First is the coloring page “flow” on the main screen. I don’t know how else to describe it, it’s like the cover flow feature on an iPod. The different coloring pages rotate across the screen. You can tap on the one you like or use your finger to swipe and speed up the rotation. The other unique aspect to the app  is the way you select the color that you’d like to use. There’s a line of colors at the bottom of the screen. You can tap on a color with your finger or drag your finger along the line until you reach the shade you want to use. The color shows up in a bubble just above the line so it’s easy to tell what you’re looking at.

Color Me!!! is a simple app that’s easy to use, which makes it appealing for older toddlers and young preschoolers. Right now there are ten coloring pages, all featuring sea life. I hope to see more pages in future updates, I think this addition would make the app more appealing to the preschoolers.

**Update 2/21/10 – Color Me!!! now features 11 new illustrations. It’s nice to have more variety but I don’t think they don’t have the same cuteness.
