Color Range & Promo Codes

Color Range is a photography app that allows you to play around with the colors in your photographs. The app uses simple slide controls and taps on the screen to control the changes in the photograph. There’s a brush that will remove the color from the photograph and change the section you “painted” to grayscale. Another button brings up filters that can be applied to the photograph. There are filters for brightness, color balance, color sketch, contrast, saturation and sharpness. The amount of filter you apply to the photo can be easily adjusted. Another slide will adjust the photo’s hue. Finally there is a color slider tool that gives you six color sliders for adjusting specific colors in the photo.

Color Range is a universal app that’s been designed for both the iPad and the iPhone. I tried it out on both the iPad and iPhone and I preferred using it on the larger screen. I also felt like the app ran faster on the iPad but that may have been because our iPad memory isn’t as full. The photographs you use can be imported from the device’s cameral roll or taken using the camera. When you’ve finished with your changes you can save the picture to the photo album or share it via email, Facebook or Twitter. The app’s interface is simple to use but I could have used more explanation in the help section. I figured out how to use the filters right away but found the color features a bit trickier. The controls are easy to use but I’ll definitely need more practice before I can produce fabulous look photographs.
