Color&Draw for kids: Coloring book, sketch pad, artistic springboard and photo decorator

This app has a VERY long name. A long name that does an excellent job describing what the app does. Color&Draw for kids has 50 drawings for you to color. There are pictures of boys and girls reading, swinging and flying kites. There are pictures of animals, planes and boats. My favorites are the half finished pictures – an alien without a head, an empty vase. These are pictures that leave plenty of room for imagination to work. The app also gives you a blank white or black canvas. When you color in the pictures you can adjust the width of the lines and the colors you use. You also have stickers to decorate with.

My favorite feature in this app is that it lets you import images to color. You can import a picture from your camera roll or photo library and then color directly on the image.  You can add mustaches and eyeglasses to photos to your heart’s content. When your masterpiece is finished you’ll be able to save it on  your phone or email it to a friend.

My only suggestion for the app is to make the buttons at the bottom of the coloring pages a little bit bigger. They’re on the small side right now and I think a larger size would be more kid friendly.  Other than that I like this coloring book app, especially the drawings, the ability to color on photos and the overall way it lets you use your creativity.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
