Every once in a while, there is an app that comes along that sets the bar higher – this is how I feel about Pete and Mike! Pete and Mike is a really fun interactive adventure for young children. With Pete and Mike, your child can join two adventurous little pigs, who also happen to be best friends, as they embark on a journey to protect the townspeople from a dragon! I really loved the look of the app, as well as the way children can find their own way through the app.
The app is set in a small town, and the townspeople are in need of help, as well as protection from the dragon! Pete & Mike will come the town’s rescue, by repairing the town, as well as uncovering a mystery that could change everything! Be sure to play along with your child as they interact with the townspeople to find out their needs, work with them to help, and even solve the mystery. In addition to your help, your child can also use the clues and directions on screen to help solve the mystery.
Some of the activities included are helping the townspeople to grow crops, as well as making tools, and even removing a boulder in the mines. In addition to the story, kids can go on a treasure hunt adventure as well. I really loved the interactive story, the problem-solving activities and the fun artwork and animations. Pete and Mike is much more than just another interactive storybook, it is definitely worth a look!
I really enjoyed the Pete and Mike interactive storybook. I would definitely recommend this app to the parents of younger elementary age children or kindergarteners. I will be playing this app with my 4 1/2 year old son for sure!
