Oceanhouse Media recently released another title from Eileen Christelow. This time it’s the Five Little Monkeys with Nothing To Do and any mom out there who’s enduring summer break will relate to the story. The five little monkeys are bored, there’s nothing to do they say. Mama has a surefire cure for summer boredom, chores! Grandma Bessie is coming for a visit and Mama needs the house to be neat and clean so she puts the monkeys to work cleaning. Every time the monkeys claim there is nothing to do Mama gives them a new assignment. The very last chore is to pick berries and the monkeys come home nice and muddy. Mama asks them to clean themselves up and you can probably guess what happens to the house. Like I said, any mom out there enduring summer break will relate. A house full of children stays clean for all of about five minutes. Maybe.
Five Little Monkeys with Nothing To Do uses Oceanhouse’s trademark features – narration, sound effects, auto play, picture/word association and pages that pan and zoom. The app is universal and will work on all of your iDevices. This is another terrific tale about the monkeys and a fun one to share with your children. It might even scare them into not claiming boredom around you for the rest of the summer!
