Game Time Limit for Parents

Game Time Limit for Parents is for anyone who owns an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad that is also used by their children. And

yes, I’m talking about myself. Around here the iPhone and iPad are part educational devices part entertainment for my children. Some days it’s more entertainment than anything else but there comes a point when I need the phone back. Either the kids have been on too long or they’ve run my battery dangerously low and it’s time to take charge. Game Time Limit was designed for parents who want to limit the amount of time their children are on the iPhone/iPod/iPad. It allows them to create a timer that will interrupt whatever their child is doing on the device, letting them know it’s time to be done. The app is very easy to use. You choose how much time you want to allow your child and then begin the timer and exit the app. When the time is up a push notification appears on the screen stating that time is up. To get rid of the notification your child must tap “Stop Alarm”. This exits them out of their app and takes them back to the Game Time Limit screen where you must enter a passcode you’ve created. It’s a nice idea that allows parents to share their device without losing control of it.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
