Get Rid of Annoying Facebook Notifications

Are you on Facebook? I am and it drives me crazy to get all those silly notifications. I don’t mind the ones about comments and wall posts. It’s the ones about Willy’s Sweet Shop or how many “amazing” points I’ve earned that make me nuts. Luckily I came across an article that explains a simple cure for this problem. So simple I’m embarrassed to tell you that I couldn’t figure this out on my own.

Here’s what you do: On your Facebook page click on the notification button in the lower right corner of your screen. Now click “see all” and you’ll see all of your notifications. On the right side you’ll see everything that’s authorized to notify you. Uncheck the boxes for the things you don’t want sending notifications. And there you go.

    Hi, I just HAD to comment about the FB notification info you provided. THANKS A MILLION!!! I am probablly one of the last FB signups and I just do not understand why game playing by adults with their pictures plastered over every thing they do seems to be the main attraction of this site! I’d like to find the part of the site where there is good conversational exchange and my experience so far has not been good. Thanks again! Your suggestion should earn you a Willy’s Sweet shop or whatever they call it on FB! Babs

    It’s easy to ‘X’ out the notifications from the crappy apps constantly spamming…. but I NEED my notifications on whether someone ‘likes’ or replies to my posts – - – saves time trying to go around to all the places I left comments! When they are totally gone, it will just be myspace.

    im admin of a group and i have done what you said and it does work BUT i still get a message on my iphone when someone asks to join the group, i have been through my facebook settings and turned everything of and also on my iphone but i still get these messages on my iphone only, i really have tried everything and can not stop them, any help would be grateful, thank you
