Gift to Me – Holiday Apps Recap

December 19, 2011

This week my Weekly Special is a gift to myself, the gift of time. I know I’m not the only mom out there who feels that December is one of the busiest months of the year. December and May. The holidays and the end of school – my two craziest months. It takes time and energy (physical and mental) to make Christmas magic and I’m just about tapped of all of above. I have two days until my kids are out of school and at that point all of the behind the scenes holiday prep must be done. Make that one day as Tuesday will be spent at the school making holiday magic in the classroom. So….in an effort to be smart and conserve my wits for the school break and a road trip later in the week, I’m not posting anything new or spectacular this week. I have several ideas for the beginning of the year, some “how to” and “tips and tricks” posts that I’ve been wanting to figure out myself. Plus a developer interview I’ve been saving. But for this week I give you a recap of the Holiday Apps (plus some other miscellaneous goodies) that have been featured on the site throughout the month.

The lists are made up of apps that have been sent to me by reviewers. I will have one final list in the next day or so. Not on the lists but some of our personal favorites are How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Toca Hair Salon – Christmas Gift.

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
