Goldilocks and the Three Bears

That naughty little Goldilocks has come to the iPhone. I always wonder what her parents were doing while she was wreaking havoc on the Bears’ home. When it was all over did she run home and confess all or pretend like she’d been at a friend’s house playing dolls? And how long did it take Mama Bear to clean up all that mess? Did Papa Bear and Baby Bear even help? I hope so.

This is a cheery version of Miss Goldilocks’ adventure. The illustrations are adorable and pop off the screen. Goldilocks’ ringlets would be the envy of any little girl. There are two modes to this story app – Read to Me or Read by Myself.  Self-explanatory I think. When you’re in Read by Myself mode you can tap on the words and hear them spoken. There’s also a teddy bear hidden in each picture. If you find him and give him a tap you’ll be rewarded with squeaking.  Two features that would be nice to see in future updates – larger print for the words (makes them easier to read and tap) and an autoplay feature so you didn’t have to “turn” each page when the app is being read aloud.

This story app is simple, straightforward, does a good job retelling a classic tale of a mischief and has pictures that will make your child smile.

WebMD Baby

WebMD Baby was released earlier this month and it is awesome! Seriously one of the best “baby” apps I’ve seen to date

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
