GroceryList Update

April 26, 2010

The app GroceryList has undergone an update and the developer has implemented some changes that make the app easier to use and personalize.

* “More Lists” – you can now create more than one list which means I can have a list for Costco that’s separate from my regular grocery lists. Each list allows you to edit and change the aisle order for the stores. I like this feature because I’m a creature of habit and I shop the store in the same pattern each time. If I vary the pattern, I get off track and am much less efficient. Sad, I know. I also like having my list displayed in the order of the aisles that I visit and now I can in this app.

*Checking things off the list is easier to do now, it’s just a simple tap and the items is removed from the list and put into the shopping cart. It’s a much simpler process.

You can read about what I liked in GroceryList here. Several of the things I didn’t like have now been updated which is great news!

Hi Heather, thank you so much for your kind words about GroceryList! I wanted to mention to you and your readers that we’re already working on the next version which should be even more helpful to creatures of habit. The upcoming version will give you more control over your master list (to add and remove items) and your favorites (so that you can add your own, and not have to wait for GroceryList to learn your habits.) Keep an eye on your App store updates, we’re hoping to get this version out by the end of May.

    All the best,
    Keith Alperin

Individual Text Tones for Contacts

My 9 year old daughter told me about an iOS 5 feature that I was totally unaware of until last week. Miss S. showed me how to set up individual text tones for my contacts.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
