Because of time restraints this will be the last Halloween Apps round up for the year. The original list and part two are still online for your reading pleasure. These are apps that are new this year and have been brought to my attention by developers. If you’d like a blast from the past you can also read last year’s list.
Candy Raiders: Halloween - It’s Halloween night and you must defend your home from the invasion of all the sugar-starved kids from your neighborhood. Use a variety of candy ammo to satisfy the boundless appetites of the costume-clad hordes so it can be a happy holiday for everyone. You knew there would be some trade-offs—potential risks—in buying a house made entirely of candy, but it was such a sweet deal. (The realtor did mention something about the previous owner being eager to sell after an incident with two lost kids and a baking mishap. Anyway, you couldn’t pass it up.) But, lately you’ve been seeing a wild look in the eyes of the neighborhood children and you know that for you the scariest night of the year is going to be Halloween. Features: 15 escalating levels of difficulty, more than 8 types of enemies, each with different tricks, 5 kinds of candy ammo, 5 bonus levels to challenge your skills and a customizable “Endless Night” level. Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later. Price: $.99 ~ See Candy Raiders in the App store.
The Scariest Halloween Story Ever! - Follow Candy Corn Man on a reading adventure full of interactive Halloween surprises and unexpected turns. This new interactive book app from 3CD is just the right mix of spooky and funny. Play interactive mini-games, read along with Candy Corn Man, or read by yourself. The Scariest Halloween Story Ever! is a great way to get your kids in the Halloween mood. Requirements: Compatible with iPad. Requires iOS 3.2 or later. Price: $2.99 ~ See Scariest Halloween in the App Store
Elly Book 9 - Elly’s back with her 9th adventure, this time she’s been invited to a spookily themed costume party by her friend Fin – but what to go as? Elly visits each of her friends in turn to get ideas for a costume, and they all help her out in some way, but we have to wait until the end to see what Elly will come as to the party! Released in time for Halloween, Elly Book 9 introduces little ones to the world of spooky costumes in a gentle and light hearted way. Nothing too scary here! Price: $.99 ~ See Elly book 9 in the App Store
Finally, here are the apps that have been seen on the site over the past month via Giveaway posts. They haven’t been listed on the Halloween lists until now.
Millie’s Book of Tricks and Treats
Disclosure: I have not personally tried any of these apps. These descriptions come from the developers with some minor editing (and perhaps commentary) by myself.
