My son has been trying out a Homework Box from Moms Made Easy and we are both loving that bright orange box. He’s been carrying it around the house when he works on his Kindergarten homework, feeling very grown up. The concept is so simple, give your child a box where they can keep all of the things they need to do their homework. Eliminate the scramble around the house to find assignments, paper, pencils and crayons. In my house it’s the glue sticks that have always gone missing. The Homework Box is tall enough to fit papers standing up and large enough to hold more homework than your child would ever want. An organizer insert fits down into the top of the box to hold your child’s school supplies. The box comes with a ruler, stapler, glue stick, pencil, pencil sharpener, scissors and tape. The lid to the box is clear, closes with a latch and has a handle. It can easily be carried around the house until your child finds the perfect homework spot. Or it can be taken in the car if homework needs to be done on the go. Everything is in it’s place, right where your child needs it.
The Homework Box comes in a boy or girl version. The boy version is orange and has some slick car graphics on it. The girl version is a pinky-purple and is covered in peace signs. They can be purchased from the Moms Made Easy website for $23.95 and this week they are offering $5.00 shipping.
One lucky reader has a chance to win a girl Homework Box. I will gladly help my children with their reading, english or spelling homework but when it comes to math…ick. Leave me a comment telling me what you like and don’t like to help with when it comes to homework. The contest will close on Monday, December 20th at 12:00 pm EST and I’ll be using Random.org to select a winner.
Good luck and thanks Moms Made Easy!
Be sure to read my review of the app Moms Made Easy, it’s like your own Homework Box for keeping YOU organized.
Disclosure: I received a free Homework Box for review purposes.

I still get a sense of wonderment that my 7 year old daughter is learning things that I haven’t taught her. I love when I can learn something from her – a new song, a new science fact, etc. I am thrilled when she enjoys doing her homework and it seems worthwhile. Practicing for a spelling bee is fun.
I dislike when she comes home with “busy work” and poorly edited worksheets that I can’t even figure out. I am frustrated that her math homework is too easy. And we have had those dreadful afternoons when she fights against doing homework for an hour+ but the actual homework would only take 10 minutes!

My toddler doesn’t yet have to do homework but loves, LOVES to play school. She started preschool this year and is pleased as punch to bring home her alphabet pictures and creations. I would love to get her something like this to keep up that excitement about school and learning, and she’d then have it from the get-go when she starts ‘real’ school. It’s a cute idea!

Oh my, this would be handy!! What a great idea! I get tired of helping with spelling, but since my daughters only in first grade, there’s not much to be tired of.

My son is in kindergarten and this would make it a lot easier to keep all his stuff in one spot. He LOVES doing his homework, but is so hard to get all the stuff together in one spot. I’m not a fan of having to find or draw items that begin with the letter they are working on seems to be frustrating to come up with 3 and draw them out to match the word he picked.

I LOVE helping my daughter with math, but not so much with the penmanship. This is a really cute item.

What a cool box! We always seem to be missing SHARPENED pencils…
My favorite thing is sitting with my daughter for her reading time, it’s amazing to see her develop as a reader.
My least favorite thing is handwriting practice. She is such a pill about it, it sucks away any fun that there might have been.

I love seeing my kids enjoy their homework, but with my youngest its been a struggle this year. 3rd grade is hard, and keeping up with everything when she’s changing classes…ughhh! This would be great to keep everything in one place.

What a neat Idea! I don’t like it when both the boys have homework and my 3 year old want to play with them. They of course would rather play! I do like seeing the improvements my 2nd grader is making in handwriting and moving on up to harder to read books. Thanks for the giveaway!

I really don’t enjoy helping my 6th grader with her math homework because first I have to relearn the math concept before I help her with it! Science is a tough one too but way more enjoyable. English…no sweat
I really love seeing the lightbulb turn on when my daughter gets a tough problem she’d been sweating over.

hello, I have 3 children with 3 different homework areas but we only have one each of most things. this makes homework take longer because the kids have to hunt and peck for the homework supplies. something like your ‘Homework Box’ would really make homework time in my house alot less chaotic. Please consider our family in your drawing. Thanks In Advance.
Merry Christmas

I like helping with math homework. I there’s something my kids don’t understand, there’s always a game or app for it. I don’t like helping with Spelling. They should be able to pretty much do that themselves. Plus is can be boring.
