iKlear

Just before Christmas I was asked to try out iKlear, a cleaning product designed for flat screens and mobile devices. My iPhone screen is constantly smudged with makeup, toddler fingerprints and mystery substances. Honestly though, it’s the iPad screen that really drives me crazy. The smudges on that are awful and much more noticeable. It seemed like a perfect chance to try out a cleaning product that I very obviously needed. The package with an iKlear Travel Singles Kit and iKlear Cleaning Kit to try out. When my husband came home and saw you’d have thought it was Christmas already. Apparently I had no idea how exciting my delivery way. Turns out, unbeknownst to me, we used to have a bottle of iKlear that he used on our television and computer screens. It’s “Like liquid magic,” he told me, so coming home to a box full of it was pretty darn exciting.

So how did the iKlear work on my well used, kid handled iDevices? Marvelously! The first time I used it I was completely amazed at the difference on my screens. It was like the iPhone and iPad had just come out of their boxes again. Next I used the iKlear on my MacBook Pro’s screen. The product isn’t designed for this use but again I had fantastic results! When I’m working my youngest likes to come up and try to shut the laptop. As a result I often have a row of fingerprints along the top and sides of my screen. The first time I used iKlear I also had something sticky on it as well, probably a caramel product of some sort. iKlear completely held it’s own and the screen was totally clean after a few wipes. I’m 100% pleased with the product and end cleaning result and I’m going to always try to have iKlear on hand.

The Travel Singles Kit came with twenty individually wrapped wipes, pre-moistened with the iKlear solution. Also included were two travel size DMT Antimicrobial Microfiber Clothes. To clean a screen you use a wipe and then dry it off with the microfiber cloth, it’s that easy. I’ve been keeping these in my laptop bag. I can clean my iPhone, iPad and MacBook screen with one wipe. The Kit came with a bottle of iKlear, several travel wipes and a Microfiber cloth. Spray your screen with the solution and then wipe it clean with the cloth. Voila! No more smudges!

iKlear used to be sold in the Apple Store but it’s no longer available there. I believe my husband purchased our original bottle in Best Buy and I’m sure it’s available in other similar retailers. However, I know for a fact that Amazon.com carries a wide variety of iKlear products and their prices are a little bit lower than what you’ll pay if you buy directly from the iKlear website.
