Learn With Bobot

October 18, 2010

In Learn with Bobot a friendly robot will guide your children through a series of educational activities. Along the way your they will collect different robot parts for Bobot. When they’ve collected everything they can help put Bobot back together.

Bobot’s activities deal with numbers, letters, matching skills, patterns, spotting differences and more. They are designed for children ages three to five and broken into two age groups, three years and four to five years old. Forty different activity cards are available for the three year olds and there are seventy-two for the four to five year olds. Games are played by touching and dragging things around the screen. The graphics are simple but engaging and will appeal to preschoolers. Bobot explains what the children need to do on each activity card and he has a fun robotic voice. When your child has made it to the end of the card pack they’ll be rewarded with the chance to make Bobot dance.

I think Learn with Bobot has a nice mix of activities for different skills. I like how they are broken down by age. It’s good to have separate activities for younger and older that are within the same app. The app’s description in iTunes says that updates will regularly be made for new activity cards and rewards.

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
