Learning Touch – 1 Million Download

May 4, 2011

Learning Touch is the developer behind the FirstWord series, educational apps for toddlers and preschoolers. Today they are celebrating their One Millionth download. All editions of their FirstWord apps are on sale for only $.99 today.

I’ve also been given five codes from several of their apps that I’ll be giving away throughout the day. Leave a comment and I’ll be randomly selecting winners as the day goes on. I say random because I’ve got to take my eight year old to the doctor to have a playground injury investigated. Depending on what the doctor says about her foot my day will either get back on track or go who knows where. Ever had one of those weeks? I’m in the middle of one right now!

See the FirstWord apps in iTunes.

I would love to check out this app! My son has really gotten into letter games lately so I think this will be right up his alley.

Two codes for the two times I’ll be at the hospital for medical imaging today. Once right after our doctor appointment and again this afternoon. Kindergarten bus schedules and hospital waiting lines just don’t agree and we couldn’t handle the wait. So back we’ll go after nap time.
Nicole & Molly – codes are on their way to your inbox. Everyone else, I’ll keep your comments in the drawings I do again later.

I think my son would really benefit from this as he’s a bit behind on his language…Hope the playground injury heals quickly and painlessly!

Okay – thanks for all your comments! Codes are on their way to Kris, Bethany, Stephanie & Amanda. Turns out I didn’t know how to count yesterday and I had 6. After X-Rays we got the news there’s no break in her ankle, just a very bad sprain that gets an air cast for a few weeks. Since she still gets to take crutches to school she’s thrilled! I’m very relieved she still gets to bathe her foot :-)

What do you think???

Individual Text Tones for Contacts

My 9 year old daughter told me about an iOS 5 feature that I was totally unaware of until last week. Miss S. showed me how to set up individual text tones for my contacts.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
