LRNthelingo is a fantastic resource for parents of children who are texting or instant messaging their friends. This app explains common texting terms, emoticons and slang terms. As I was browsing through the app I was overwhelmed by all the terms I don’t know and I wondered how in the world they all evolved. LRNthelingo has translations and explanations of what it all means and you can either browse through the app or perform a search. I found this app to be fascinating and I think it’s a must have for parents of older children who want to know what their children are really saying to their friends when they send those silly looking messages.

I have this on my iPhone and I am having a lot of fun with it. My kids don’t know I am catching on to the terms they are using around the house.

PS: The creators are supposedly giving away free codes tomorrow for those who are interested in the app. You can grab one then.

What do you think???

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
