MCB – All the Colors in the World

All the Colors in the World has a nice message but it never really really caught the attention of my children. The narration is well done but the illustrations didn’t pull them in. I do like that the app allows you to record yourself telling the story. When you’re in record mode you don’t see the words so you can make up your own version if you like. I also like the fact that you can lock the toolbar so children can’t stop the story once it’s begun. The other thing that I appreciated about this app was being able to look at the screens as a group so I could then tap on the screen where I wanted to begin. I always like having the option to not begin at the beginning all over again.

*Update 6/12- You can show the text when you’re in recording mode. You’ll need to activate “show text” in the settings before you go to record. Sorry about that!

Price when Reviewed: $1.99

Thanks. Something different from the traditional story books on iPhone. My son would like to try. Thank you.

    Dear iPhoneMom Heather,

thanks for the good review of our MCB – All the Colors in the World! Just one small correction: you can choose to show the text as well in the recording mode.

@potential customers: we have seven different MCBs in the App Store, including well known fairy tales with even more beautiful illustrations. Please see here: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewArtist?id=348617665

WebMD Baby was released earlier this month and it is awesome! Seriously one of the best “baby” apps I’ve seen to date

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
