These days it seems that your entire life can be accessed from your mobile devices- not that I’m complaining! It only makes sense that your family’s health information should be just as accessible, especially in emergency situations. If you have more than one child, it can be difficult for even the most diligent of moms, to keep track of each child’s detailed record of immunizations, allergies, etc. With Microsoft HealthVault, all of this information can be accessed right at your fingertips, without the stress of calling doctors offices and waiting around for records.
HealthVault is a website that has a corresponding iPhone app. I realized that I could speak to its features for pages and pages, but in the interest of a concise review, I encourage users to visit the website and scour through all of its benefits. I’ll highlight some of the features that I loved.
On the app, you are able to add multiple profiles and upload information about allergies, health conditions, encounters, family history, files, immunizations, insurance, medications and procedures. If you have a child with food allergies or conditions, you can upload all of their information including the proper treatments, and track their encounters so that you can discuss with their doctors.
One great feature is that you are able to share information with select people who might need to access health information about your family quickly. This is great for families who have childcare providers or family members who are with your children enough that there might be the possibility they would need to know any critical information. It’s also a great place to store doctors and emergency phone numbers for quick access.
I think that this app is essential for the modern family. We rely on our phones for so many things these days, why not add the health of our families’ to the list. Having this information at your finger tips will save you time and stress, and with growing schedules and obligations- what more could you ask for?
