Misty Baby

December 7, 2011

Those of you looking to entertain your baby might give the app Misty Baby a try. It features smiling babies and happy voices, hidden behind a veil of mist. Using your finger you can wipe the mist from the screen to reveal the babies for your child. The app comes with several options that can be customized. You can add in photos from your own camera or photo library and have those appear behind the mist. There is a recording feature that allows you to record your own sounds and dialogue. You can also adjust the amount of screen area your finger will clear as it wipes the screen.

I wish that there was a way to keep your own photos in the rotation beyond the initial viewing. From what I can see now it looks like they are there once and that is it. (See update below) Misty Baby has cute babies and I know my daughter always likes to watch other toddlers and babies.

Update 12/9 – From the Misty Baby developers – All the additional photos added to the app still accessible just like default photos (app picks random images from default+custom list). Also the app has library where you can go and view all the recorded audios, added photos. Also user can delete unwanted audios/videos.

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
