Monkey Preschool Lunchbox

Out of the blue tonight my son says to me “Mom, have you seen Monkey Preschool Lunchbox?” Cracked me up that it was “Monkey Preschool Lunchbox” instead of “The Monkey App”. I said yes I had seen it. Then he says to me, “That one’s funny”. And it is. My kids all seem to get a kick out of the silly monkey in this app.

There are five different activities in this app. They teach about colors, letters, counting, shapes and matching objects and they’re all mixed together. Do a matching activity and then a counting one and so on. The activities all involve foods that a monkey would eat. When your child finishes an activity the monkey packs something in his lunchbox and gets very, very excited. That’s the part my kids love.

The activities in Monkey Preschool Lunchbox are just right for  preschool kids and the app is clever and funny enough to keep their attention. This app has been a big hit at our house. Even making it’s way into dinner conversation.  Doesn’t that make you wish you were a fly on the wall at my house?

So funny that your son refers to the app by its full name! Looks like a fun iPhone app!
Now I’m wondering your son is saying at dinner!

I just had to come back and post a thank you to you! My two and a half year old LOVES this app! she can’t stop playing it! Now she repeats ooh ooh ooh with the monkey! I’m not sure I understand the appeal but she sure does! Thanks for the recommendation!

Individual Text Tones for Contacts

My 9 year old daughter told me about an iOS 5 feature that I was totally unaware of until last week. Miss S. showed me how to set up individual text tones for my contacts.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
