mScribble: make music with your finger!

February 3, 2011

I’m probably one of the least musical people you’ll ever meet but mScribble had me feeling like a semi-accomplished composer. This is an app that lets you improvise your own musical composition, just by using your finger on the touch screen. You begin by selecting background accompaniment. Where you tap, or scribble, determines what your notes will sound like. This is a polished app, I promise your taps will translate into more than just noise. They’ll play like notes and chords, making music and each song will be different.

mScribble automatically records all of your musical performances, no need to look for a record button. These recordings can then be saved or you can share your musical genius with others. The app comes with a “Toddler Mode” that can be enabled in the iPhone’s General Settings. This mode randomly selects a music style, turns off the menu and disables recording.

mScribble is a creative app with appeal for all ages.

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
