New Oceanhouse Media Titles

Oceanhouse Media recently released two new titles, one is an Enchanted Tale and the other comes from their Smithsonian Institute line.
Wooly Mammoth in Trouble is the fourth Smithsonian Institute title that Oceanhouse Media has turned into an app. This story tells of a Wooly Mammoth who is lost from his herd. At the conclusion of the story readers will find facts about the prehistoric animal. The illustrations are beautiful and the sound effects and music complete the app perfectly. There is a stillness here and as you listen you feel like you’ve been transported back in time to a lonely winter landscape. The sound effect of the wind whistling and blowing is extremely effective. Wooly Mammoth in Trouble has been very well done.

The New Adventures of Peter Rabbit
The New Adventures of Peter Rabbit is a recent addition to the titles in Oceanhouse Media’s Enchanted Tales collection. This version of Peter Rabbit takes a spin on the original tale. Here Peter is quite the storyteller and his tall tales cause plenty of mischief. The “Read to Me” and “Auto Play” versions of the app have professional narration and different voices for the characters. Tapping on the screen will trigger sound effects and additional character dialogue, no matter which reading mode you’re in. The story is fast paced and energetic with a cartoon feel to it. It’s definitely not the Peter Rabbit I remember reading as a child.
