Safety Photo+

September 21, 2011

Safety Photo+ is an app for those who have a need to protect and keep personal photographs private. You’ll set up a general password to gain entry into the app and after that you can create additional passwords for the individual photo folders. Importing your photos is a straightforward process, you can either take them with the camera while using the app or import them from the iPhone’s camera roll. Once you have photos you can edit photo names, view them as a list or in a thumbnail gallery. Photos can easily be moved between folders and copied and pasted. Folders can be rearranged and you can even create a simple slideshow.

It’s worth noting that after you import a photo into Safety Photo+ the original will still remain on your Camera Roll. This means it may be protected in the app but still viewable on your phone. To prevent this make sure you delete the photo from the roll. If you ever want to restore it you can always export it back again. The app also allows you to email the photo so you can also access it that way.

I found Safety Photos+ to be helpful and extremely easy to use. The app has a good help section but I was able to navigate through and get my bearings without assistance, it’s an intuitive app. Safety Photos+ does what it says and it does it well.

A free version of Safety Photos+ is also available. It will allow you to store up to 10 images.

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
