When I read SoundExcuses description I knew I had to try this app out. Here’s a snippet from the iTune’s description.
“It’s frustrating when you’re on the phone and get interrupted but it’s just as frustrating when you’d do anything to get off a call and you can’t. Enter SoundExcuses. Need an excuse to hang up?…..Click. Done.”
So here’s the rundown on SoundExcuses. When you’re stuck on the phone with someone and the conversation just won’t end you switch your phone to speaker, open up the app and then choose an excuse you’d like to play. There are sound effects representing everything from noisy waiting room to doorbell ringing. There’s the good old standby of static or the last desperate attempt of dog attack. I’m not kidding about that one, it’s there. SoundExcuses allows you to rearrange the order of the noises so the ones you need most can be at the top of your list.
I think that anyone who’s called my house this past year and listened to all the joyous background noise from my children knows to keep the conversation short. But just in case I find myself needing an excuse to end it quick I’ve always got SoundExcuses and a dog attack to fall back on.
