iRewardChart

Reward charts can be a parent’s best friend. We’ve used them to reward potty training, chores, saying prayers and much more. I even use them with myself from time to time. I’ve got various cupboards, mirrors and walls in my house that are covered with charts. I’ve come to accept it as part of my [...]

Dragon Dictation

Have you heard about the Dragon Dictation app? It was just released this past week and has the potential to make my iPhone even more useful then it already is. When you use the app you speak into your iPhone and Dragon Dictation displays what you’ve said. It’s as simple as opening the app, pressing [...]

m-Shopping

m-Shopping is a shopping app that would work with any type of shopping list. It’s not restricted to groceries and it’s very straightforward. Tap the plus sign to add an item. You can choose from preset items. Assign a store (again from a list or add your own) and select the list the item belongs [...]

Quicken Online Mobile

I use Quicken Online Mobile in combination with the Quicken Online website. We’ve used Quicken software for our personal finances for many moons. It works but I was somehow always off in my register. Not off by pennies or dimes but more. Much more. Don’t ask me how I did this but every time I’d start [...]

Grocery Zen, Grocery Gadget & Shopper

I bought Grocery Zen, Grocery Gadget and Shopper earlier this year. I’ve reviewed them in the past and liked them at the time but to be honest, I don’t use them as much as I should. None of them are exactly what I need in a shopping app so I find myself coming back to [...]

Christmas Apps

Lately, I’ve received a few Christmas Apps lately for review. Here they are, along with some brief thoughts. *Grinchmas – This app is an officially licensed Dr. Seuss product. It’s meant to help you connect with each other through actual face to face interaction.  The app features questions and activities that are designed to help you communicate with your children more effectively, learning more about them as [...]

Sweet Dreams, Baby

Sweet Dreams, Baby is a simple app that features seven different types of white noise.  To use this app you would start it, choose a sound and then leave the iPhone next to where your baby was sleeping. BabySitter Connect

A little while ago I reviewed the app Baby Connect. It was an app that really impressed me and I think it could be extremely helpful for mom’s who work outside the home. Now the developers have a new app called BabySitter Connect. It’s very similar to the original BabyConnect except it’s only $.99 and [...]

iOS 5.01 Released: Includes Fix For iOS 5.0 Battery Life Issue

iOS 5 Gets Its First Update Thanks to my husband Zack for getting this post out about the new iOS 5.1 release. I’ve yet to install the update…but I’ll be following his instructions below. Shortly after the iPhone 4S hit the market a bug was discovered that severely impacted battery life on those new devices. [...]

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
