The Bird with the Rainbow Tail is the story of how one lonely bird transforms a dull and dreary world into one that is full of love and vibrant color. The illustrations that accompany the tale are truly beautiful. They are hand drawn in black and white with bits of color where it relates to the story. The story is accompanied by soft background music that fits the tone of the narration.
The Bird with the Rainbow Tail is presented by MCB – Mobile Children’s Books. As with other MCB books there are several things you can do with this app. You can listen to a narration of the story or you can read it to yourself. There’s also an option to create your own recorded narration. The story’s text can be enlarged and the app can be locked down so little ones don’t push buttons that shouldn’t be pushed.
I was very impressed with the illustrations found in The Bird the Rainbow Tail. The look and feel of this app reminds me of the type of books I used to receive from my Great-Grandmother at Christmas. Well crafted, elegant, thoughtful stories.
