Synaps Powercase

Back in the first quarter of the year I was sent a product sample of the Synaps Powercase. Through a goof in scheduling on my part and then a busy summer with my kids I haven’t had a chance to give it a proper review until now. It’s long overdue because the case is extremely [...]

Dumbo – 70th Anniversary Edition

Disney’s classic film Dumbo was released this week in a 70th Anniversary Edition and I was lucky enough to get a chance to review the Blu-Ray version. We already owned the original DVD version but the high definition blu-ray puts it to shame. It is beautiful! My two year old Miss J had never seen [...]

Gymbl Grip & Tripod

My iPhone is thinking rather highly of itself lately, now that it’s wearing the Gymbl case. You see when it’s in the case I can attach it to the Gymbl tripod and when I do that it quickly becomes more like a fancy pants HD camera and less like my workhorse of a phone. Any [...]

Swoop the Owl – Kickstarter Project

Last week I had a head’s up about a Kickstarter project and I thought I’d pass the word along in case anyone is interested in offering their support. If you follow this link you’ll see Swoop the Owl. He’s a mobile plush for the iPhone and iPod Touch and Jim is trying to get his [...]

Sesame Street Cases

Are you looking to add a little bit of character to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad?

Homework Box from Moms Made Easy

My son has been trying out a Homework Box from Moms Made Easy and we are both loving that bright orange box. He’s been carrying it around the house when he works on his Kindergarten homework, feeling very grown up. The concept is so simple, give your child a box where they can keep all [...]

ViewSticks Mounting System

Taking a road trip for the holidays? Own an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or portable DVD player? You might want to consider trying out a set of ViewSticks. They are simple metal sticks that attach to the poles in your car’s headrest. The sticks are shaped to hold your device upright in front of the [...]

MyPhones by Griffin

I have spent a disgusting amount of money on earphones for my children. I’ve never wanted to spend more than ten dollars on a pair but the pairs I buy over and over never last. They get tangled, they fall apart, they don’t fit right. Lately my girls have been using some of our old [...]

Agent 18 Shield Limited Case

Over the past few weeks I have been trying out the new Shield Limited case from Agent 18. I have the Starbright pattern and it brings a splash of color and personality to my phone. The Shield Limited cases are durable but they’ve got a smooth, slick look to them. The case comes in two [...]

Woogie & SmarTouch Gloves

There were so many different things going on at the website last week. Big contest, a few promo code giveaways and plenty of app reviews. Mixed in there I did two other product reviews, one for the Woogie and the other for Isotoner’s SmarTouch gloves. I wanted to make sure I gave them plenty of [...]

iOS 5.01 Released: Includes Fix For iOS 5.0 Battery Life Issue

iOS 5 Gets Its First Update Thanks to my husband Zack for getting this post out about the new iOS 5.1 release. I’ve yet to install the update…but I’ll be following his instructions below. Shortly after the iPhone 4S hit the market a bug was discovered that severely impacted battery life on those new devices. [...]

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
