Just in time for Earth day! Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax has been brought to iPhones and iPads by Oceanhouse Media. My son and I tried the e-book out on the iPad and the graphics were fantastic. It was like having the book in his lap. The narration of the story is extremel yell done and I love the way the pages zoom and move throughout the story. My son enjoyed touching pictures and seeing the silly words pop up on the screen. He got a kick out of picking one picture to tap over and over so the words were spoken in a loop of sorts. I guess if one Dr. Seuss word is funny then one right after another and another is hilarious. You can choose to read the story to yourself, hear it read aloud or select auto play. This will play the story like a movie and there’s no need to turn the pages yourself.

The app is beautifully done, the story is a classic and I hope Oceanhouse Keeps the Dr. Seuss books coming to the App Store!

WebMD Baby

WebMD Baby was released earlier this month and it is awesome! Seriously one of the best “baby” apps I’ve seen to date

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
