The Question

January 16, 2012

Do your kids love the snow? The Question tells the tale of an imaginative young boy who is going to bed with a snowstorm happening outside. So many questions run through his head – Will it snow all night long? Will the power go out? What if he is stuck in his house until spring? But most important of all…Will school be cancelled?

I thought that the graphics and sound on this storybook were colorful and engaging. There is a feature to have the story read aloud to you, or if your child is old enough to read you may turn off the read aloud option. The words are highlighted to help children who are learning to read identify words as they are read aloud. I also liked that there was an option to bookmark your page, in case you need to take a break from reading for some reason, which can happen with little ones.

I enjoyed this storybook and would recommend it to those with children who like to read and have a big imagination. It is a perfect wintertime tale about snow and all the fun it brings. Maybe you can give it a try the next time you are snowed in?

Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk is a very unique iPad app. It has been developed to help your children improve the pincer grip they use to hold a pencil.

What I Do

I review iPhone apps for moms. I have a decent grasp of techy things but the technical guts (for lack of a better word) of how the apps work are beyond me. So my reviews will be practical and purely subjective. Reviews for moms by a real life, actual mom. My kids will vouch for me.
