Top 100 Kid Songs

This app is like a mini Pandora for children’s music. The folks behind this app have taken the top 100 songs from their children’s music collections and put them together into the Top 100 Kid Songs app. The app pulls up a random song from this list and shows the title and the CD it came from. The song will play – not just a snippet, but the whole song. There are controls on the bottom of the screen that let you pause the song or skip to the next one, as well as a sliding volume bar.
You’ll also see a button that says “Buy Song”. Tap this and you’ll be taken to the iTunes app on your phone where you can purchase the song. For me, this button is located a wee bit too close to where my kids will be tapping the control buttons. Not an issue for my two that can read but I can just see my little guy touching this one and either buying songs or getting frustrated because he’s ended up somewhere he didn’t want to be.
I think this app could be a great thing for car rides. You get 100 songs for only $1.99 and if you’ve got the capability to play your iPhone over your car’s sound system, you’ve got instant musical entertainment for the kids.
