Let me start out by saying that Wee Subs is a huge hit at my house – my son loves it!  He also has the Wee Rockets app that was previously released by Wee Taps.  I think that both of these apps are great for kids who like to use their creativity and “build” things.

With the Wee Subs app, kids will create custom submarines and send them out into the deep blue sea.  At the beginning of the app, kids will see a cute scene that shows a child thinking up their submarine design and imagining what it will look like.  Then, kids will be taken to a screen that allows them to assemble their very own submarine.  There are 32 different pieces to choose from while assembling a submarine.  Once kids have completed the building process (done in a few easy drag-and-drop steps), they will choose one of the 8 divers to take their submarine into an underwater world.  While underwater, the mission is to collect all the fish and treasure while navigating around the explosive mines and nuclear waste.  This app is completely text-free and allows kids to think intuitively – the app is ideal for children ages 2 through 6 years old.

I really like the Wee Subs app.  As I said before, this app is great for kids who like to “build” things by putting them together piece by piece.  If you have a little one who likes to show off their creativity and build, be sure to check out Wee Subs (and Wee Rockets, too)!
