CluckCluckApp

The CluckCluckApp application was designed to help parents with their babysitting needs.  With CluckCluckApp, parents can send one job invitation to all of their usual babysitters (either through the app or via email), see who is available, and book the person they want right then and there.  Parents can also use the app to provide babysitters with access to important information and task lists for each of their children (i.e. homework that needs to be done, chores that need to be completed, etc.) – and receive real-time, one-touch updates on their task lists.  Sitters can send detailed messages and photos as a response, too!  Parents can ensure that sitters have access to the family’s complete emergency contact information within the app or via email as well.  There is even an option to pay the sitter directly from the phone, and keep a payment history for each sitter, and even export to Excel!  If you would like an easy, organized babysitting app for your iPhone, be sure to check out CluckCluckApp!

Lootupootu

The Lootupootu app is an educational, interactive bedtime story for children. With Lootupootu, children can learn how to protect and take care of the environment. Kids can join Lootupootu the elf on his journey to the park for a picnic, where he discovers all the things that need to be cleaned up. This app builds cognitive skills along the way with lots of fun educational activities. Some of the activities included are: learning to identify vehicles, colors & numbers in an identification activity, learning to identify and match animal shapes in an animal cookie exercise, and learning which materials belong in the different recycling bins in a color-coded activity! There are language options for English and Arabic. Children can choose to simply enjoy the story only, or the story with activities. For younger children, parents can turn on Whispie’s tips that will guide their child through the app and activities. TioMio – My Vocation Puzzle

The TioMio – My Vocation Puzzle app is a great app for younger children.  With TioMio – My Vocation Puzzle, children can learn about lots of different professions.  Maybe they can even decide what they want to be when they grow up!  As kids find the right puzzle pieces, they can bring each character to life.  As soon as your child has finished the vocation puzzle, the character will begin to move and perform their job.  Fun cartoons show each job in action!  At the bottom of the screen, kids are shown how many vocations they have already created and which ones are left to do.  There are twelve vocation puzzles to complete and bring to life, including: police officer, ballerina, builder, gardener, astronaut, fireman, painter, diver, doctor, chef, farmer and chimney sweep.  In addition to completing the puzzles, there is also a fun building kit which allows kids to mix and match and create funny and crazy characters…maybe a fireman ballerina?  If you would like to share a fun app about professions with your child, be sure to check out TioMio!

Chester & Flop’s Flying Numbers Adventure

The Chester & Flop’s Flying Numbers Adventure app is a fun app designed for children ages 6 through 9 years old.  With Chester & Flop’s Flying Numbers Adventure, children can join Chester the butterfly and Flop the bunny on a trip through a flowery meadow, to their garden.  Along the journey, kids are challenged to compare and sort integers ranging from 0-1,000, decimals, and fractions, by tapping the screen to guide Chester and his number over or under oncoming numbers.  There are 36 levels in all, and after kids pass 10 numeric hurdles in each level, children will reach the garden where they can feed Flop his favorite vegetables and direct Chester to the flowers!  Kids can also interact with nature by sliding the clouds, setting the sun, drawing constellations in the night sky, and more.  If you would like to share a fun math skills app with your child, be sure to check out Chester & Flop’s Flying Numbers Adventure!

EkiMuki – Learn by playing with vehicles

The EkiMuki -Learn by playing with vehicles app is a great app for younger children who like “things that go”.  With EkiMuki, children can make the most of their digital time by learning through play.  This app features three mini-games in which children can develop various skills.  The three mini-games include: Build, Memorize and Order.  In the Build game, children can learn to coordinate touch and sight to build various vehicles.  In the Memorize mode, children can exercise their memory as they play a matching game (flip over cards and make matches).  The Order game is for more experienced (older) kids – as the race will not start if the cars are not in the correct numerical order at the starting line!  If you would like to share a fun educational app with your child, be sure to check out EkiMuki!
