TopRecs is a great app for parents who are looking for recommendations on just about anything.  With TopRecs, parents can connect with their trusted circle of friends and family to see recommendations on anything from doctors and schools to restaurants and services.  I thought that this app would be very helpful and cut down on the guesswork when it comes to looking for recommendations.

The TopRecs app aggregates, sorts and organizes recommendations for a broad, and continually growing, list of categories.  The lists can be accessed and referenced any time you need them, right on your phone.  I love that you can connect with your personal group of trusted friends and family and see what they recommend.  Some of lists you can search include: doctors, schools, kids’ activities, museums, professional services, restaurants and more!  I also like that you can search recommendations in both your hometown and elsewhere.  So, this app could also be very helpful when traveling or on vacation.

Instead of texting or emailing, quickly ask you friends and family for their recs right within the app, and then store the information for future reference.  You can create your own profile, and start building a circle of friends with your Facebook contacts.  You can also easily grow your circle by inviting your friends to join TopRecs.

I thought that TopRecs would be a great app for parents who are looking for recommendations, either at home or while traveling.  I would definitely check this out if you find yourself texting for recs, or searching online.  I think that this app could be a timesaver for sure!
