Activities 4 Kids is a new app that features a 4 apps-in-1 design.  I thought that this app had a lot to offer for only $0.99 and was a great educational tool.  The skills that are taught in this app work for a wide range of ages – preschool to elementary.

The 4 activities featured in this app are as follows: 1) Connect the Dots – just like the old pencil and paper game – kids will be able to draw pictures by connecting all the dots, 2) Find the One That’s Different – this game will help kids learn how to pay attention to detail and find the image that is just a little different from the others, 3) What Does Not Belong? – think “which one of these is not like the others?…” this game will help kids to learn how to group similar items and discard the one that is different, and 4) What Time is it?  – this game will help kids to place the clock hands correctly on a cuckoo clock when given a time.  As you can see, there is a great variety of skills taught in this app – counting, telling time, pattern recognition and item groupings.  And, all of these games can be played in English or Portuguese.

I really enjoyed the Activities 4 Kids app and thought it had a lot to offer for a low price.  I thought that the interface was very kid-friendly and the bright colors and interactive animations were great for kids.  I will definitely be using this app with my son when he is a little older and would recommend it to parents.
