Adam’s Amazing Dream is a 3D Interactive “Pop-Up Book”. I tried the app out on my iPhone but it is universal and will work on your iPad or iPod Touch also. The story tells of a little boy named Adam and an amazing dream he has one night. At first I expected the dream to be a silly one. Something full of grand adventures and little boy action. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that this book is more low key. Adam’s dreams regularly involve visits from his Uncle Bono but tonight he’s visited by a special little girl. That’s all I will say without giving away the ending.

Most of the app’s illustrations do appear to rise up and pop out of the screen. I wish there was a bit more interactivity to the app. There are a few things to tap on screen but more interaction would be a nice addition. At the end of the story readers will find a mini-game to play with Adam. I’m not sure if younger children will fully appreciate the message behind Adam’s Amazing Dream. I think the sweet spot for this app is somewhere around the Kindergarten-First grade age range.
