This review is dedicated to my sister in San Antonio who’s currently battling what she’s calling “Ninja Ants”. Yikes. I wish she had an iPhone because I’d gift her Bugfest and she could vent her bug frustrations on the app. The premise of this game is simple. You are a bouncer at a bug party and all the bugs want in. Just like the ants want in my sister’s place. You are given ninety seconds to squish as many bugs as you can on the screen. Green bugs are allowed into the party, those you may let pass, but everything else must be squashed. These are fast and sneaky bugs so make sure you watch as they crawl around the screen. If three of them make it to the top of the screen it’s over and you’ll have to begin again. While you’re taking care of the bug problem you’ll also be earning points. Bonus points are awarded for squashing gold bugs and a streak of bugs in a row. Bugfest is integrated with the Game Center so you’ll be able to unlock achievements and access leader boards.

Bugfest can be played in Easy, Normal or Hard mode. It’s simple enough for children but the harder level will still provide a challenge for adults. This is one of those games that’s great for wasting a few minutes here and there throughout the day.
