Canvsly Review

Do you have a pint-sized Picasso in your family?  Is your refrigerator so cluttered with artwork that you have to clear a path to find the handle?  Looking for a quick and easy way to organize and store all of those masterpieces without having to find a way to keep them from tearing or yellowing with age?  Well look no further!  Canvsly (pronounced canvas-ly) is the perfect app for you!  This app was designed as a way for parents to save, organize and share their children’s artwork quickly and easily.

There are 3 main components to this app.  To get started, you must create albums for each of your children.  Once you have an album created, you can use your mobile device to snap pictures of their artwork and store them in their personalized album.  You can also create several albums for each child so you can organize their artwork chronologically or by category or however you chose.  The artwork is stored on the Amazon Cloud so as to not take up storage on your mobile device.  Second, you can create your Canvsly circle by inviting friends and family to download the app and join your circle.  Once they have joined, they too can view your child’s albums and artwork.  This is a quick an easy way to share their creations with family members who live far away or even with a working parent.  Finally, you can take your child’s artwork and convert them to gifts or collectibles for your home.  There are several products available to purchase.  The products range from simple prints to mugs and range in price from around $1.50 to $20.00.

I think there are several great things about Canvsly.  First, it is a great way to share your child’s artwork with family and friends who might live far away.  Second, it is a fun way to convert some of those artistic creations into fun gifts for a fairly reasonable price.  I did not have the opportunity to order any of the products so I cannot vouch for the quality of the products offered.  It is also a plus that the pictures are stored on the cloud so that the storage on your mobile device isn’t affected and the pictures will be safely stored for years to come.  I really appreciate the innovative nature of this app but I’m not sure that it is one that I can see myself using regularly.  I just don’t have the time to remember to take pictures of everything my kids make.   Personally, I would rather have the original artwork packed away in a box.  However, if you are more tech-savvy than me, this would be a great app for you.
