Long time readers of The iPhone Mom may have noticed some changes over the last couple of months. Behind the scenes, our founder, Heather, has been preparing to step back from her day to day role of managing the site. Rachael and Katherine have been taking a more active role interacting with our developers and readers. We are excited about new developments we have planned for the next few months and hope you will check in regularly as we continute to grow!  Below is a message from Heather.  Heather set up an amazing site for moms (and dads!) to get advice on relevant apps and products; we look forward to continuing her hard work and will continue bringing you interesting, exciting and innovative ideas.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the changing of the seasons, the crispness in the air; getting kids back on schedule after summer and gearing up for the holidays. For me Fall has always been my “New Year’s”. I don’t really make resolutions in January, at least none that I stick with, but I do make them in September. For me fall has always been about change.

You may have noticed some changes here at The iPhone Mom over the past few months, changes that have come as I made the difficult decision to step back from the day to day operations of the website. Readers may know that I have four children of my own, the oldest is now a teenager and the youngest is almost the same age as the site. This past year we’ve gone through some big events and transitions in our family and I’ve felt an increasing pull to dedicate more of my time to my kids. In order to do that I needed to find a way to continue to support my readers, those of you who have helped make The iPhone Mom what it is today.  Without you the site could not have grown into the resource that it has become. Your visits and your loyalty have made all the difference and I wanted to make sure that the site would be in good hands and would continue on as a dedicated resource for parents.

Several months ago I found my answer with Rachael. Going forward she will be handling the day to day operations of the site, in fact she’s been doing it for awhile now and has done an excellent job with the transition and changes. Katherine has also joined the team and Nikki and JoDee are continuing on as contributors. Erin is expecting her second baby in a few months so she has decided to step back and take a break from the reviews.  Change is exciting, it freshens things up and it can be energizing!

I wanted to take this chance to personally thank you for being such wonderful readers and supporters of the site. Your positivity and encouragement has always meant a great deal to me. Thank you! I’m proud of what we’ve built and I think The iPhone Mom has grown into a leader in its niche and a fantastic resource for parents. I’m looking forward to watching it continue to grow and seeing where Rachael and the team take it in the future.

All the best –
Heather Leister

Good luck Heather! I’ve enjoyed the site so far and I’m sure I’ll continue to do so. I understand about transitions–I’ve been through some major ones this year and there are only so many balls I can juggle at once!

Thank you, Heather, for being our iPhone mom 🙂 The iPhone mom has taught me more than any other site about what to do with apps and apple devices. Your recommendations on handy gadgets and tools are likewise, always the best. Your hard work and dedication to building this site and making it what it is today is to be commended. We appreciate you so much! Now, go on and enjoy the fruits of your labor-your kids are so lucky to have you as their amazing mom <3 ! One door closes, and another door opens-best wishes always!
