With Cooking Fun For Kids, families can enjoy healthy playful recipes, as well as food games and videos about being in the kitchen. This app is designed for children ages 8 and under, and features a fun cast of silly pea and bean characters who will guide them through the app. The peas and beans will introduce the playful recipes, star in the food games, and also appear in the fun videos. This app is inspired by the award-winning book, “Bean Appetit: Hip and Healthy Ways to Have Fun with Food”. Some of the fun food dishes include: “Crocamole” – which is guacamole hummus disguised as a crocodile, and “Snack Man” – a pineapple and blueberry snack that looks like the lead character of a famous video game. I loved how much the app had to offer. Some of my favorite features include the “Imaginnibles” segments which present yummy, good-for-you reciPEAS and videos for kids. The Bean Bags game is a fun scavenger hunt that will help make trips to the grocery store more enjoyable for kiddos! If kids want to show off their creative side, they can check out the “Bean an Artist” mode where they can color their favorite characters from the app. There is also a food matching quiz, where kids can match fruits, veggies and Bean Sprouts characters. Overall, the app includes 30 entertaining activities for families to enjoy together, including: Interactive ReciPEA eBooks like Snack Man and Green Gobbler, Bean Sprouts Videos like Imaginnibles: Crocomole and MasterPEAS: Bean Pole, Interactive Dress Up/Maker Games like Build-a-Bean and PEAcasso Portraits: Square, puzzles, memory/matching games, coloring and more! Like I said, this app offers so much for $0.99!
I really enjoyed the Cooking Fun For Kids app. I think that this app is a great way to get your kids interested in healthy eating and helping in the kitchen. I will definitely be sharing this app with my 3 year old son!
